2010 Polar Plunge

On February 20th, myself, John, and the rest of Team RTS - Reaching The Stars took the Polar Plunge to benefit Special Olympics Wisconsin. Our team raised over $7,000! Thank you so much for the donations!! It is greatly appreciated! We look forward to making this an annual event. The atmosphere at the jump is so exciting and rewarding. And Yes, the water is as cold as you think it is going to be!!

Click Here to watch a You Tube video of the jump.

Transition Strips

Max is a rocker! He loves to rock by either standing on our rocking chair or on his police car. But he is picky where he rocks on the police car. He always has to be rocking over two surfaces. He likes to rock between our kitchen and living room at home. And if we take his rocker to other places, he scopes out two surfaces to rock on. It is always over a transition strip. I need to find a bigger rocker for him. He gets a rockin' and has tipped over his police car. Any suggestions?

Polar Plunge

On February 20, John, myself, and the rest of team RTS - Reaching The Stars will be Freezin' for a Reason when they take the Polar Plunge for Special Olympics Wisconsin.

During this event, participants will raise pledges then plunge into Wisconsin's FROZEN Lake Monona. All money raised from the event will provide funding for nearly 10,000 athletes with cognitive disabilities in Wisconsin so they can continue to REACH THE STARS!

Please help me reach my fund raising goal by pledging to me online using the link below or make a cash donation. Checks should be made payable to Special Olympics Wisconsin.

We would LOVE for you to join Team RTS and JUMP and enjoy the day with us. Use the same link to register. Last year we had so much fun, we want to make this an annual event. Details will be following regarding when and where to meet on the day of the jump.

Thank you!

Scrapbook Weekend

This past weekend, I spent the weekend in a cabin with a bunch of girls scrap booking, eating, sleeping in, and watching movies. It is always great to get away for a weekend! Here are pictures of the pages I finished in the kids' scrapbooks.

Ava's First Snow Day!!

Today was Ava's first snow day! We got well over a foot of snow. . . it looks like a Winter Wonderland outside. She was excited to get her coat and snow pants on this morning to play in the snow. She had her first snowman built by 7:45 this morning. She just went out for her second trip outside to make another snowman!

Max watching Ava play outside. He would love it outside for a little bit, but decided to keep him inside since he woke up snotty and sneezing.
